ARRIVED IN TAINAN
Arrived in Tainan after a vey relaxing two hour high speed train ride. We reached 288 km. per hour at one point. It hardly felt like we were moving. Carol's brothers picked us up at the train station and drove us to our hotel with a stop at an ice cream store. The hotel is called Kindness Hotel. It's very nice and modern. Mike went to Carol's place with the brothers and I'm gong to rest until they pick us up to take us to dinner and site seeing. Will write more later. Jim Lesser

WEDNESDAY NIGHT MARKET BY DAD
What a day. Mike joined us for breakfast then we walked around a neighbourhood getting to know the area. Saw more temples and ended up in front of Carol's house. She drove us to great buffet restaurant where we met up with her Mom, brother and his wife and two nephews. We were given a choice of six different soups which are placed in an opening on our table, and we can control the temperature. We then walked around and picked out all kinds of meat and veggies to put into the soup. Kind of like a fondu. It was delish. Jim wanted to visit a car dealership and there was a BMW one right next door to the restaurant. Nice cars. There was one that listed for almost 5,000,000 nt. or about $115,000. Wow! We stopped at Carol's mom's temple after and got at tour of the art gallery. Very interesting. Carol then took us back to the hotel for a little rest. She picked us up at 6:30 for a trip to the oldest night market in Tainan. It was awesome.  More people and venders than you can imagine. We ate all kinds of street food and shopped until we couldn't walk any further. Getting ready for bed now and a trip to a resort tomorrow morning. Carol says they will rent a van because we will need the space for all the people that are coming. Looking forward to that adventure. Jim
